About League of Legends Lecture
Currently, League of Legends is the most popular video game with more than 100 million players and the largest eSport scene worldwide with over 100 million viewers. However, the complexity of League makes it one of the hardest games to learn and master. This class will help you understand the fundamentals of this renowned game.

Students will explore League of Legends through a variety of lenses including gameplay, eSports, and psychology. They will apply these perspectives to their own gameplay through weekly homework assignments.

By its design, League of Legends produces conflict. Not just the in-game conflict between wizards and demons, but the friction created by everyday interactions within the fictional world of Summoner’s Rift. Sensitive and tactful players can massage these tensions into productive conversations, but even the best of them often struggle with toxicity that escalates into full-on fights. These spats culminate in the toxic culture that League is known for.

There are a few key factors that contribute to this toxic culture. First and foremost, it is important to recognize that League of Legends is a time sink. It takes a large amount of time to play the game, especially at a competitive level. Getting better at League requires a mindset similar to that of any top-level sport or activity: practice the basics and build from there. Trying to learn everything at once is extremely inefficient and can actually make players worse because they will repeat their bad habits without realizing it.  롤대리
